Long-Distance Movers in Houston

Moving out of Houston? We'll get you there.
Long-distance moves are a different animal than local ones. More planning, more logistics, more that can go wrong if your mover doesn't know what they're doing. We run regular routes from Houston to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and beyond — plus partial-load options for smaller moves that don't need a full truck. Everything is wrapped, inventoried, and tracked.
When this service is a good fit
How it works
Detailed quote
We'll need your origin, destination, estimated volume, and preferred dates. You'll get a written quote with the full cost — no estimates that balloon later.
Pickup day
Crew arrives, wraps and inventories every item, loads the truck. You'll get a copy of the inventory and a delivery window.
In transit
Your items are in our care. We'll update you on delivery timing as the truck moves. Full-truck moves are typically 1–3 days; partial-load runs 3–10 days.
Delivery
We unload, place furniture where you want it, reassemble what we took apart, and walk through the inventory with you before we leave.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a long-distance move from Houston cost?
It depends on volume, distance, and timing. A 1BR move from Houston to Dallas might run $1,500–$2,500 full-truck or $800–$1,500 partial-load. A cross-country move is more. Call (832) 280-1699 for a quote specific to your route.
Do you offer partial-load for long-distance moves?
Yes — partial-load is one of our specialties. You share truck space with other shipments heading the same direction and pay only for the space you use. Savings of 30–50% vs. full-truck.
Are you licensed for interstate moves?
Yes. Summit Move & Freight is fully licensed and insured for interstate moves with USDOT and TXDMV authority.
How long does a long-distance move take?
Full-truck moves within Texas typically deliver in 1–2 days. Cross-country full-truck runs 3–7 days. Partial-load adds a few days due to route coordination. We give you a delivery window at booking.
What routes do you cover from Houston?
