How We Got Here
Summit Move & Freight started in 2011 with one truck and a straightforward idea: if you show up on time, protect people's stuff, and charge what you quoted, they'll call you again. Fifteen years later, that's still how we operate.
Alex G. founded the company in the Houston area and still runs it today. He handles most quote calls personally, trains every crew lead, and stays involved in the day-to-day operations. When customers leave reviews mentioning Alex by name, it's because he was either on the phone with them or on the job site making sure things went right.
We're based in Richmond, TX — right next to the Aliana community off Harlem Road. Most of our trucks start the day within a few minutes of our customers' front doors. We serve the entire Houston metro: Sugar Land, Katy, Cypress, Mission Bend, Pearland, Missouri City, The Woodlands, and everywhere in between.
Over 1,000 moves later, most of our work still comes from repeat customers and referrals. We think that says more about us than anything we could write on a website.

Long-Distance & Freight
Interstate moves from Houston to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Phoenix, Denver, Florida, and beyond.
Partial-Load Moving
Don't need a full truck? Share container space and save up to 50%. Perfect for studios and 1BRs.
Packing & Unpacking
Full-service, partial, or fragile-only. We bring the materials and do the work.
Senior & 55+ Moves
Patient, careful service for downsizing moves. We work with Lagos and Springwood at Aliana regularly.
How We Work
We don't have a mission statement or a values wall. We just do these things on every job:
Show up on time
If we say 8am, we're there at 8am. If something changes, you'll hear from us before the scheduled time — not after.
Protect everything
Furniture gets wrapped inside your home before it goes out the door. Doorframes get padded. Floors get protected. Not just the obvious pieces — all of them.
Communicate clearly
You'll know arrival times, pricing, and next steps before anything happens. No guessing, no callbacks, no "we'll get back to you."
Charge what we quoted
The price we give you is the price you pay. We've never surprised a customer with a higher bill on moving day. That's not a policy — it's how we've always done it.
Where We're Based
Our office is at 9720 Harlem Road, Unit F6 in Richmond, TX 77407 — right next to the Aliana community. Most Houston-area moves start within a few minutes of our lot.
We serve the entire Houston metro area, with the most coverage in Fort Bend County and southwest Houston. Our busiest neighborhoods are Aliana, Sugar Land, Richmond, Mission Bend, Katy, and Cypress.
Licensing & Insurance
Summit Move & Freight is fully licensed and insured for local and interstate moves. USDOT and TXDMV registration numbers available on request. Insurance certificates provided before move day.
